From January to May 2019, the overall operation of the copper industry remained stable, with the production of major copper products maintaining growth. The production of refined copper and copper materials reached 3.7 million tons and 6.85 million tons, respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 4.4% and 11.7%; The average spot price of copper is 48589 yuan/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%; The copper industry achieved a profit of 14.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%. Among them, the copper mining and selection, copper smelting, and copper rolling processing industries achieved profits of 2.22 billion yuan, 5.59 billion yuan, and 6.29 billion yuan; The cumulative import volume of unwrought copper and copper materials was 1.95 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.4%.
